Delete your Motseko account

This page explains how to delete your Motseko account and what happens to your data. The app is Motseko, by [ENTITY NAME].

Delete it in the app

1. Open Motseko and sign in.
2. Go to Account, then Settings, then Delete account.
3. Confirm.

Your live ads are taken down straight away and you are signed out on all your devices.

Without the app

Send a request from the mobile number on your account:

• email support@motseko.app with your number, or
• WhatsApp +961 81 419 278.

We confirm that the request comes from the number on the account, then start the deletion within 7 days and reply to you.

What happens next

• Deletion is completed 30 days after you ask. If you sign in again during that time, the deletion is cancelled and your account comes back. Ads that were taken down stay expired, and you can renew them.
• After 30 days your account and ads disappear from Motseko, and your saved ads, notifications and sign-in sessions are erased.
• A private copy of your mobile number, name, profile photo, dealer details and ads with their photos is kept for 6 months, only to answer requests from the authorities. Only our senior staff can open it, and every look is recorded. After 6 months it is erased.

What we keep, and for how long

• The private copy above, for 6 months. If an authority or a court asks us to keep it longer for an investigation, we keep it until that request ends.

• Records of paid features, for the period the law requires for business records. [TO CONFIRM]
• Reports you sent and the record of staff actions, without your number or name, to handle repeat abuse and for accountability. [TO CONFIRM]
• Technical server logs, for up to 30 days.
